Old Montreal and Old Port

As it was my first time in Montreal, I had to visit the classic tourist locations of Old Montreal and Old Port. Walking on the cobblestone streets surrounded by European architecture was a great way to start my trip off.

I also spent some time cycling along a portion of the Lachine Canal and stopping at a few spots along the way.

Le Plateau-Mont-Royal

I was staying in Plateau, which is a charming local neighbourhood near Mont-Royal with a great park and a long pedestrianized street in the summer. It was great exploring from here on foot, and taking the metro when going further out.

It was a surprise seeing so many cyclists out and about, Montreal definitely is a bigger cycling city than Vancouver.

Mont-Royal

I did a quick hike up the "mountain" in the city to the viewpoint.

Downtown & Misc

I visited the Museum of Modern Art during my stay in Montreal, and walked around the area afterwards taking some photos along the way.

Toronto

Since I was transiting through Toronto, here's some complimentary photos from Toronto as well.
